Thanks, I didn't want to speculate on that part. I've gotten a better feel that the same sorts of standards for revdel (and likely oversight) apply here, so that's good.  Done, semi-protection for most templates, semi-protection and move protection for most modules (modules don't leave redirects when moving, so these moves must be done extra carefully). For template/modules full protected in enwiki, I applied full protection here with cascading, some template/modules above are covered via cascade protection. Requesting RevDel for African Americans[change source]

There was a lot of offensive vandalism on African Americans in which the page was redirected to various titles. I'm requesting that those revisions be deleted from the history. This was on 10 January, 6 April, and 24 April 2024. Kk.urban (talk) 00:18, 10 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

While not policy on this wiki, I'm trying to take the approach described here to limit GRP to less damaging areas. Also, the main page attached is currently protected, and therefore non-confirmed users need a page to add edit requests to, which protecting this page would take away. Blocking me? He is using residential proxies, some of them are mobile IPs which are highly dynamic so its kinda pointless. Also I have a new global filter which catches him pretty well (see abuse log from few hours ago), but he has no life and too much free time on his hands, and spends literally minutes bypassing them with brute force. Question:How even does GRP even do it? How is a global community of millions unable to effectly stop GRP from creating new accounts/disruptive editing on different IPs?
Is there any policy saying that. Enwiki's policy is "Talk pages are not usually protected, and are semi-protected only for a limited duration in the most severe cases of disruption." which I think this qualifies for at this point@DIVINE@XXBlackburnXx Me Da Wikipedian (talk) 14:41, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The problem with LTAs is it's like playing whack-a-mole. As soon as you deal with one another pops up. Plus they create socks in batches. We are mostly limited to reacting to the problem fr33kman 16:18, 13 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am doing both. I was just wondering why we aren't able to use preventative measures, considering that:
It's 1 person
Most of their IPs (and ranges) and accounts are vandalism only
