Readability[change source]

The page scores 67.3 with a grade of 5.3 on the Flesch-Kincaid readability test. It's easier to read for 11-12-year-olds. – Cyber.Eyes2005Talk 23:14, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Preliminary evaluation[change source]

Thank you F&F contestant Cyber.Eyes2005! Thank you for contributing to this year's contest. I see you have proactively evaluated this article for readability using the Flesch-Kinkaid test. I will now run the text of this article through my readability gizmo. I am getting hits as low as eighth grade with an average of ninth.

I will now read the article with my organic human brain. I am seeing lots of places where the text could be simpler. "Appeared," "emerged," "pinned him down," "trait," "suggested," "influences," and "agile" could all have simpler counterparts. Most of them would be more than one word. Remember, this is listed as a translation for a reason. You're not just allowed to use your own judgement and translate; you're supposed to.

This isn't something I'd use to vote no on the article, but there is no need to link to the same other article more than once. If you write "legend" on first instance, you can just write "legend" after that. Darkfrog24 (talk) 18:20, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have simplified the words you suggested and a few others that seemed complex. Also, I'll remember to link a word only once in the future. Thanks – Cyber.Eyes2005Talk 18:36, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
