Jeannette Charles (15 October 1927 – 2 June 2024) was an English actress. She was known for playing Queen Elizabeth II in many television shows and movies, due to her looking very similar to the monarch.[1] She played the Queen in Secrets of a Superstud (1976), Queen Kong (1976), All You Need Is Cash (1978), National Lampoon's European Vacation (1985), The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! (1988) and Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002).
Charles was born in London, England. She retired in 2014. Charles died in Great Baddow, Essex on 2 June 2024, at the age of 96.[2] By coincidence, at the same age as the Queen as well as on the 71st anniversary of her Coronation at Westminster Abbey.
